Lent 2025
This Lent, we invite you to journey with us through 40 days of hymns, prayer, and reflection. Each day, we will focus on a different hymn—some familiar, some new—paired with a short devotional and prayer to guide our hearts toward Christ.

Hymns have long been a way for believers to express faith, lament, surrender, and hope. As we prepare for Easter, we will use these songs to deepen our worship, meditate on Scripture, and align our hearts with the power of Christ’s death and resurrection.

Each week of Lent will center around a specific theme, helping us engage with different aspects of our spiritual journey. Whether you follow along individually or with your family, we encourage you to take time each day to read, listen, and pray. Together, let’s allow the truths in these hymns to shape our hearts as we journey toward the Cross this Lent.

Giving up to get more
Lent is a time to re-focus so that our words, actions, and deeds reflect the image of Christ. It usually involves a change in our lifestyle - Fasting, Service, or Prayer - with the purpose of letting God change our hearts.
The connection between Lent and fasting comes from Jesus’ time in the wilderness when He fasted for 40 dsays in preparation to begin His ministry. Many people choose to fast or give up something during the 40 days of Lent to help them remember the sacrifice Jesus made on the Cross.
We pray that during Lent we would:
-
Fast from complaints and be filled with joy.
-
Fast from bitterness and offer forgiveness.
-
Fast from sadness and be filled with gratitude.
-
Fast from selfishness and be compassionate to others.
-
Fast from grudges and be reconciled.
-
Fast from hurting wounds and say kind words.
-
Fast from anger and be filled with patience.
-
Fast from pessimism and be filled with hope.
